Exciting News for Our Community!

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Jacob King, our new Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator!

This is a big moment for Extension in Logan County — our community has been without an educator in this role since 2016. Jacob is eager to serve our farmers, landowners, and natural resource enthusiasts. He will be offering programs, answering your agricultural questions, and helping our county thrive through education. 

Please read the below introduction from Jacob 

"Hi, I am the new Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Educator for Logan County. I am a 2024 Ohio State University graduate earning a B.S. in Sustainable Plant Systems with a specialization in Agronomy. I am a native of Logan County and have been involved in the agricultural scene since my high school days in FFA. I am so excited to help growers here in Logan County and abroad do what they do best through practical and informative programming. Some of my particular interests are integrated agriculture, organics, novel weed control methods, and local markets. I hope my advice is always based on sound research and sturdy character. Please feel free to call me or the office should you have any Agriculture or Natural Resource concerns or if you would be interested in specific lecture topics or volunteer opportunities!"
