2021 Volunteer Trainings

For 2021 each 4-H Volunteer will need to complete three volunteer trainings. We typically, in a normal year, complete three trainings (Policy 1.50: Child Abuse & Neglect, Annual Update, and a Volunteer Development Topic) in 2 hours in-person. This year the trainings will be split up into A) one hour virtual trainings, B) recorded trainings, and C) limited in-person trainings.

 

Each 4-H Club Advisor must complete the following by January 31st, 2021:

  1. Complete Policy 1.50: Child Abuse & Neglect training online at your own time
  2. Attend an Annual Update in one of the following ways:
    • There will be live ZOOM options offered throughout November to January.
    • There will be a recording released in January for you to complete at your own time.
    • I am planning for a limited in-person Annual Update in January. *This should be limited to only those who NEED it in-person.
  3. Attend one Volunteer Development training of your topic of choice in the following ways:
    • There will be live ZOOM options offered throughout November to January
    • There are limited recordings online you may do at your own pace.

*If you are a 4-H Volunteer but do not work with a 4-H Club you are not required to do an Annual Update and may choose two Volunteer Development trainings.

 

A) LIVE ZOOM Volunteer Trainings

*All these trainings will be live on ZOOM, start at 7pm and last one hour. You must register.

  • November 10th – Annual Update
  • November 24th – 4-H Online 2.0 Training
  • November 30th – Annual Update
  • December 7th – How to Conduct Virtual Club Meetings
  • December 8th – How to Use Your 4-H Club Officers
  • December 14th – 4-H Online 2.0 Training
  • December 16th – Annual Update
  • December 29th – Cloverbud Training
  • January 5th – Mental Health 101 for Advisors
  • January 11th – Annual Update
  • January 12th – Managing Forms & Finances
  • January 21st – 2021 4-H Judging Breakdown

 

In-Person Volunteer Training

  • Saturday, January 9th, 9am at the Extension Office – limited to 10 volunteers – must register
    • We will go over Policy 1.50, Annual Update, & 4-H Online 2.0

Recorded Trainings

*Each recording is approximately one hour long (except Policy 1.50) and has a quiz that must be passed.

  • Policy 1.50: Child Abuse & Neglect
  • Annual Update – for January ONLY
  • 4-H Online 2.0 Training
  • How to Conduct Virtual Club Meetings
  • Managing Forms & Finances

 

Again, 4-H Club Advisors must take Policy 1.50(Recording), Annual Update (ZOOM or Recording in January), and one Volunteer Development Training (ZOOM or Recording). All trainings must be complete by January 31st, 2021.
