APPLICATIONS FOR STATE AWARDS/TRIPS/CAMPS

Some of the following opportunities have their own applications and registrations. Yet, many are selected by using the Ohio 4-H Achievement Record as an application. Please read through the below information to see how best to apply for the trip, award, or opportunity you are looking for. The Logan County 4-H Advisory Council also has a budgeted amount in which they support youth attending these trips and will use the Achievement Record to determine their financial support as well.

OHIO 4-H ACHIEVEMENT  RECORD

The Achievement Award Form is due at the Logan County Extension Office by October 18th, 2021. Please use the following to apply:

Leadership Washington Focus (LWF) Using the historical backdrop of Washington, D.C., you will build confidence in your ability to motivate and direct others in meaningful action, practice effective communication, create and accomplish goals, and develop an understanding of your own personal leadership style. (similar to CWF, but for younger participants)

International Programs & Exchanges

Looking for 4-H families with youth ages 10-15 to serve as a host sibling for Japanese youth (ages 12–14) annually.

Outbound travel opportunities vary annually, with expanded information available online.

National 4-H Dairy Conference Event provides delegates with an opportunity to learn more about the dairy industry, observe new dairy industry developments, and be recognized for their achievements in the areas of dairy cows.

Ohio 4-H Fashion Board Youth involved in textiles & clothing projects. State Fashion Board members:
a) Assist in Ohio State Fair 4-H Fashion Revue
b) Assist with educational programming efforts related to textiles and clothing at county, regional, and state-wide events
c) Serve as an advocate for Ohio’s 4-H textiles & clothing projects & programs

Ohio 4-H Teen Leadership Council (TLC) TLC is a statewide group of 4-H teens and young 4-H alumni that provides a youth stakeholder perspective in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Ohio 4-H programming.
In the process, council members develop knowledge, skills, attitudes, and aspirations needed for future success.
Complete ‘TLC Application’ Must be 14–18 years (as of January 1).
Individuals apply for white, green, silver, gold, or platinum level of involvement

Ohio State Junior Fair Board

State Junior Fair Board members help strengthen and coordinate State Fair activities at the Ohio State Fair. State JFB members are expected to attend meetings and stay at the state fair for the entire 12 days.

4-H Event Youth Assistant The Ohio 4-H Event Youth Assistants (4HEYA) are a statewide group of 4-H teens that assist with Ohio State Fair events. In this process, members have an opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and be involved in the State 4-H program. They develop knowledge, skills, attitudes, and aspirations needed for future success. 4HEYAs work in partnership with the Ohio 4-H Teen Leadership Council, but the experiences as a whole are different. 4-H members who are 13-18 years old as of January 1, 2021 and have previously completed at least one year of 4-H Application on the website due mid-May

Term: June 1-August 31

Members are required to work at least 3 events at the Ohio State Fair. 

Required to attend one of the training options (held July 2022)
